Short but Fantastic visit

Came up from the Keys with my girlfriend for a wedding in Daytona, and The Shores Resort was the local's resort of choice. I booked 60 days in advance online and got a great rate. The lobby is beautiful, the restaurant's food delicious and the bar well equipped and expertly staffed. The king room, with oceanfront balcony provided a gorgeous view of the Atlantic and miles of beach either way. As it was winter-time we shut down the ac, opened the balcony door and were lulled to sleep to the sound of the surf. The beds are hard to leave but a drink by one of the resort porch firepits or a walk on the beach are good reasons to get up. If you're looking for a low-key place to relax and do nothing or as much as you want, this is a steal for the price. The staff were knowledgable, helpful and friendly. Our only complaint was that we could'nt stay for another night or two.
